Jerome T. Covington is a Houston-based multidisciplinary creative whose work lives at the intersection of art, storytelling, education, faith, and purpose.
Known artistically as JSpeaks The Poet, Jerome's creative journey spans poetry, spoken word, music, songwriting, acting, writing, education, and film. Whether performing in front of the camera, writing from personal experience, teaching others to develop their voice, or helping productions discover the right talent, his work is connected by one purpose: telling stories that matter and helping others do the same.
In 2025, Jerome founded Covington Select Casting Agency, bringing together years of experience as a performer, educator, and creative professional. Based in Houston with reach throughout Texas, the agency serves film, television, commercial, branded, and independent productions while championing diverse talent both in front of and behind the camera.
Jerome still performs. He still writes. He still teaches. He still creates.
That perspective shapes everything he does — the imagination of an artist, the empathy of an actor, the voice of an author, the patience of an educator, and the discernment of a casting professional.
For Jerome, these aren't separate careers.
